Jillian Skinner
After almost 11 months since notice was given shadow health minister Jillian Skinner’s motion to commend the services of Bundeena ambulance officers was tabled in the NSW State Parliament.

Skinner was in Bundeena in September 2008 to attend a community meeting regarding the state of local ambulance services. In June 2008 she had given a notice to raise a motion in State Parliament regarding ambulance services at the time. The motion was tabled in Parliament on May 15th of this year and read as follows:

That this House:

(1) Commends hard working ambulance officers who have volunteered for 15 years to provide Bundeena and Maianbar with a local ambulance service.

(2) Notes the Bundeena and Maianbar residents are concerned about the lack of proper ambulance facilities in their area.

(3) Condemns the Government for failing to negotiate workable conditions with the hardworking local ambulance officers which is costing local residents immediate access to ambulance services.

(4) Condemns the Member for Heathcote for failing to represent local residents’ concerns about the lack of ambulance services in Bundeena and Maianbar.

(5) Calls on the Government to immediately negotiate workable conditions with local ambulance officers to ensure services are restored in Bundeena and Maianbar.
