“ Indirect tactics, efficiently applied, are inexhaustible as heaven and earth, unending as the flow
of rivers and streams; like the sun and moon, they end but to begin anew; like the four seasons,
they pass away to return once more. “Sun Tzu from ‘The Art of War’
The Question: How can I have art and relationships?
Answer: Do portraits include the relationship see the aspects they reflect; then you will have both.

All is not as it seems- Our Perspective of what we see is tainted by our experiences and judgments. We often do not notice what to others may be obvious, yet we can not see what they see. And yet some things are universal and seen by all.
Discovering what has previously been unseen is a heart felt experience filled with wonder and awe. Nature’s subtle images continuously surround us; we just need to look through the eyes of the child to see clearly.

I am  interested in our indigenous culture. They have a lot to offer the mainstream society. My work in this exhibition is away to pay respect to their culture and to encourage the use of their symbolism in our wider cultural emblems.
