Ex Bundeena resident Kathleen Parker sends a special Thank You to the residents of Bundeena who have supported her community through the Victoria bushfire tragedies.
Hi!
I have just read an edition of Bundeena Info that my father forwarded onto me.
I was reading the article about the firefighters who came down to Victoria to assist with the Black Saturday fires and also the money raised for the Bushfire appeal.
As a former resident of Bundeena and now living in the Yarra Valley, I would like to say thank you. The outpouring of donations big and small have been overwhelming and many survivors are just lost for words.
These fires have devestated the many small communites in my area, but over time we will recover and come back better and stronger.
I remember many bushfires in the Royal National Park and it wasnt until these fires that I realised how lucky Bundeena has been. I hope never to experience the intensity of Black Saturday again.
Again thank you all for your support and donations to the communites that have lost so much.
