Claims that ambulance services have been further eroded triggers another public meeting with State MPs John Ajaka and Jillian Skinner.

Despite media statements from various politicians that all is ok, ambulance services to our area have actually been further reduced.  Currently only one officer is allowed to be on call at a time.  This means that no emergency medical transport can happen from Bundeena (for that you need two officers) – effectively doubling transport times to hospital.

The NSW Ambulance Service has not provided any additional rostering to fill the gaps.  24/7 service is further away than ever.

Last week one patient waited 2 ½ hours for an ambulance to arrive from ‘out of town.’
And one local ambulance officer worked 24 ½ hours straight last week.
Mr McLeay, Mr Iemma, this is not acceptable!
