News Update – 1st September 2011
The RTA has written to a Bundeena resident indicating there is funding for this financial year to install traffic lights at the Farnell Ave/Princes Highway interesection.
Below is an extract of that letter dated 24th August 2011
“there is funding this financial year to reconstruct the access arrangements for vehicles entering the Princes Highway from Farnell Avenue. These changes will remove the need for vehicles exiting Farnell Avenue having to merge before merging with vehicles travelling north on the Princes Highway. This will be achieved by providing vehicles exiting Farnell Avenue with their own green phase, where both directions of traffic on the Princes Highway will be stopped for a safer manoeuvre.”
