In May a small group from Bundeena will be delivering “Wrap with Love” blankets (made by Bundeena ladies), tools and prosthetic limb parts to a health clinic in a remote area of Nepal.
Set up by a former Bundeena resident, Robert Buchanan, the “Hope Centre” provides rehabilitation and vocational training, medical care & help for adults and children with disabilities.
Meg Peterson of Bundeena, has funded the building of a new wing of the clinic in memory of her parents. It will open in May. It will provide space for a prosthetic workshop, classroom for deaf children and accommodation for long-term rehab patients. Meg will be accompanied daughter Ria Peterson, & Beth Buchanan, all Bundeena residents.
