NSW Health has published a COVID alert for the town of Bundeena.
COVID Alert
The alert was published on 27 July and listed the Bundeena IGA as a venue of concern associated with a confirmed case of COVID‑19 on Wednesday 21 July between 10am to 10:15am. Bundeena IGA indicated that the associated case was a government contractor working in Bundeena who themselves was a casual contact and did not test positive for COVID‑19.
Anyone who was present at the Bundeena IGA during that time is considered a casual contact and must immediately get tested and isolate until a negative result is received.
Lockdown Protest
The COVID alert comes on the heels of the Sydney lockdown protest which occured on Saturday 24 July involving over 3000 people. Among them were Bundeena residents some of whom had self-identified as being at the protest.
