Audley Weir has had it’s fifth flooding event for 2023 more then a month since it last flooded. Officially the weir closed on Sunday 24 December at 11:50pm and reopened 13 hours later at 12:40pm.
Closure Report (2023-November-05 to 2023-November-05)
Audley Weir has had it’s fourth flooding event for 2023 more then six months since it last flooded. Officially the weir closed on Sunday 5 November at 11:48am and then reopened 5 hours later at 4:30pm.
Closure Report (2023-February-22 to 2023-February-22)
Audley Weir has had it’s third flooding event for 2023 which is over a week since it last flooded. Officially the weir closed on Wednesday 22 February at 1:43am and then reopened 21 hours later at 10:24pm.
Closure Report (2023-February-09 to 2023-February-11)
Audley Weir has had it’s second flooding event for 2023 which is over a month since it last flooded. Officially the weir closed on Thursday 9 February at 2:24pm.
Waterfall Alternate Route Delays
Alternate road to Bundeena via Waterfall has been affected by flooding along Princes Highway resulting in closure of one of southbound lanes. Heavy traffic resulting in delays for commuters accessing Waterfall exit.

Audley Weir Vehicles Swept Update
Fire & Rescue NSW spokesperson quoted as saying “a couple of cars were swept off Audley Weir, but everyone in them is accounted for”
Two vehicles have been confirmed as having been swept off Audley Weir with all occupants having been accounted for.
A witness who didn’t see the car go over but spoke to the driver who was safe. The car stalled and driver made the decision to get out. She saw another car half submerged and reported the water rose very quickly and by the time she left to drive back home the Audley Cafe lawn was a fast flowing river.

Audley Precinct Closed
NSW National Parks & Wildlife Services have released a statement regarding closure of Audley Precinct.
“All areas of the Audley Precinct including the Weir Cafe and Visitor Centre will be closed on Friday 10 February due to storm damage and flooding. Other closures may occur as parts of the park are assessed for damage.”
Audley Precinct Reopened
The weir officially reopened to traffic on Saturday 11 February at 2:13pm for a total closure time of 2 days.

Audley Weir has had it’s first flooding event for 2023 which is over a 2 months since it last flooded. Officially the weir closed on Friday 6 January at 3:53pm.
The weir officially reopened to traffic on Saturday 7 January at 8:18am for a total closure time of 16.5 hours.
