NRMA CareFlight Helicopter
A three year old toddler had a lucky escape when he fell over a cliff onto rocks at Wattamolla Beach in the Royal National Park Tuesday afternoon.

NSW Ambulance Service received a call just after 5:30pm to report that a child had fallen over a 10 metre cliff. Ambulance, Police and NRMA CareFlight responded to the call.

The NRMA CareFlight medical team were at the scene within 15 minutes of the initial call, landing on the beach 30 metres from the incident. The trauma team and a local Ambulance Service paramedic assessed the child, who was suffering severe neck and lower back pain. The NRMA CareFlight doctor said that the boy had fallen only two metres, and that he was not unconscious.

The child and his family were transported to Randwick Children’s Hospital by ASNSW helicopter. He is expected to make a full recovery.
