A good size crowd flocked to the Balconies in the Royal National Park to see the boats pass by Bundeena in the annual Sydney to Hobart race.
Many locals and visitors made a afternoon of it packing a lunch of chrissie leftovers and champers.
The race started at 12:30pm from Sydney Harbour where the boats had departed from. By 1:30pm the race leaders in the big maxi boats could be seen a few kilometres off shore. By 2pm the majority of the racing fleet could be soon as their white sails speckled the blue ocean. |
