Less than two weeks before Bundeena Maianbar residents go to the polls to elect Councillors for A Ward. With only 3 positions and 21 candidates we summarize the field.

Group A

"Stay at home" is the antithesis of my activities. I am an active member of the Sutherland Greens and have run in both state and federal elections in the area. I am the Treasrur of a bridge club. I attend important protests especially in relation to the desalination plant. True consultation  is requried with that project, and I will keep calling for that. It is important to listen to people, and fortunately, I enjoy doing that.

"Mum", on the otherhand, is a great description of my duties. 

Having been an environmentalist for over 30 years I am passionate about caring for our environment and have been involved in community development issues for many years. I have worked overseas in  development assistance projects as a community development specialist for over 20 years , am currently a company director and care deeply about what affects people's lives both at a macro & micro level.

As a former serving Councillor on the Sutherland Shire Council served 2 elected terms from 1983 - 1991 as well as serving as mayor as an independent voice I am committed to working with Councillors of all persuasions as well as empowering people at a local level by helping with their community needs & concerns accross a number of important initiatives. Some of my concerns  youth, age-care, family values, I am an advocate for community issues. Having lived in the Shire for over 43 years. With grown up family + grandchildren who all live in the Shire. I believe as an independent Councillor with the Shire Watch Independents we can achieve a lot for the local community.

I have been a resident for fifty seven years. Ran my own electrical contracting business. Involved in the ministry of the Baptist Church for thirty years. Funded and continue to operate a local charity called Community Outreach Ministries. Involved in sports for twenty one years. Have been a competitive weight lifter for 44 years.

I am a resident of Cronulla. My three sons have grown up in The Sutherland Shire. I have worked in a community welfare program for ten years, currently based at Sutherland Hospital. Have a sound knowledge of community resources in the Shire. Am a parish councillor at St. Lukes Anglican church, Miranda & a member of The Church Youth council. Secretary for Port Hacking High School P&C for last 3 yrs. Scripture teacher at Miranda North Public School.

I have been a professional actor voice artist, TV presenter and radio broadcaster for the past 30 years. I have lived in the "The Shire" for 38 years, born and bred. I am also a professional public speaker. I have also been a full time carer for 20 years.
