Reclaiming Bundeena Creek

Earthworks have been made to improve the waterflow of Bundeena Creek.
The earthworks were necessary as ocean tidal flows into the creek had built up silt preventing any creek water outflow.

Before the eartworks homes located upstream of the creek between Bundeena Drive and Liverpool Street were under threat of flooding during heavy rains that could not be flushed down stream of the creek. The down stream waterflow could be seen before the earthworks had completed with excess sand being spread over Horderns Beach.
