Faster than a speeding bullet and able to dig for hours on end this issue of Furry Friends introudces Deefer the multitalented canine wonder.

Clocked at over 40km/hour Deefer is the fastest recorded dog in Bundeena. Deefer likes to keep fit and he can be regularly spotted on most mornings jogging along one of the local beaches.

Deefer is a decendant of the lurcher family of dogs who were very popular for hunting in the olde country of mother England. Like most lurchers he's a greyhound cross, in this case with a kelpie. Though on many occasions he's been mistaken for a Tasmanian tiger! 

Deefer is obsessed with his diggies game which he will play for hours on end. Notice how he specifically digs around the ball. No one yet has been able to explain this compulsive behaviour; can you?
