In Conversation with Kate McClymont
Award winning journalist in Bundeena
Award winning journalist Kate McClymont will be in conversation at Bundeena Library on Monday 20 June at 7pm.
Kate is known for exposing corruption in politics, trade unions, sport, and horse racing. She has won many awards for her reporting, including the 2002 Gold Walkley Award for her work on the Canterbury Bankstown salary breaches.
Chief among her “scalps” was Labor powerbroker Eddie Obeid, who was also the subject of her book, He Who Must Be Obeid.
Kate also covered the murder of Michael McGurk in her book Dead Man Walking: The Murky World of Michael McGurk and Ron Medich.
She has received death threats for her work, but continues to expose the dark underbelly of Sydney politics and business. Most recently she has been examining the life of missing fraudster Melissa Caddick.
This is a wonderful opportunity to get up close and personal with one of Australia’s leading investigative journalists.
