If all goes to plan Bundeena will receive a new wharf for Christmas.
Council has released a schedule for the upgrades of the Cronulla and Bundeena wharves. The upgrades start in August and are expected to take 5 months to complete with them finishing up just before Christmas. Both wharves to be upgraded simultaneously with the Cronulla wharf to be completed in November a month before the Bundeena one. The dismantling of the Bundeena wharf which has stood for almost ninety years will occur in September with it’s replacement being resurrected over October and November.
During construction ferry services will still be maintained with the aid of temporary facilities which will be put in place.
