Bundeena RSL Updates

The recent Bundeena RSL Annual General Meeting revealed a number of planned initiatives and challenges the club will face in the coming year.

The RSL will continue to be on the renovation path. The most notable investment will come in upgrading of the kitchen facilities to "world class standards". The club is prepared to spend upto $160,000 over the next eighteen months to complete this goal. Additionally the club has given the current dining room a refresh with a new coat of paint and improved lighting.

Another renovation option being considered is the creation of an outdoor deck. This in part will address the disappearing smoking space for some of the RSL patrons as the club will be phasing out all indoor smoking in the next year as consequence of new goverment regulations. The current outdoor patio of the Gunyah Room must be closed after 10:00pm due to noise restriction requirements.

The kitchen renovations will further enhance the food services of the club now that they have new caterers onsite. David & Stephanie Bourke of Cutting Edge Dining have started limited operations in the RSL dining room with full service to start in August. The menu will be comprised of mediterranean and asian dishes along with traditional pub fare and snacks.

Lastly, the club is opening up the option to change the current RSL logo. This is only a suggestion and will be done in consultation with members.
