The changing face of Bundeena’s main street continues with the latest proposal for a 3 unit + 3 shop development.

The DA for the redevelopment of 44 Brighton St. will see the existing building which The Fringe and Century 21 are currently located replaced. A new building will be constructed with 2 shops and 2 units. A second building on the rear of the property will also be built and will have a office on the main floor and a unit on the top floor.

An underground parking lot will also be dugout to provide parking for 11 vehicles. The excavation is not expected to be as large as the one planned for the underground parking for the old corner store site.

To minimize impact to The Fringe and Century 21 businesses they are expected to be relocated to new shops which will be built on the old BMA site adjoining the current premises. The BMA site is currently undeveloped but a DA was approved last year to allow for 2 shops and 7 residential units.
