Meeting Minutes - September 30th 2008

Committee Reports Maureen Keller tabled a report on the recent meeting at Sutherland Police Station about the problems with the roads in the Royal National Park Maureen represented the Progress Association and Bundeena Chamber of Commerce at the meeting. Maureen presented a comprehensive verbal report to the progress meeting and issues covered were: 60KMH speed limit - ruled out Limit on truck weight and size considered not practical Some road signs removed - the rest will stay It was moved that the secretary write to the RTA requesting that the centre line markings recently painted on the new sealed section of road south of the sweeping curve above Artillery Hill, be re-painted as they were. The current markings reduce the overtaking opportunity on a perfectly clear piece of road by twelve seconds. This is a safety issue. Bernard Swann, Gay Hawkins
